The Sunshine Bone Marrow Bank is the earliest project of Sunshine Charity. It is the only non – governmental bone marrow bank on the Chinese mainland. Established in 2002, it joined the World Marrow Donor Association (WMDA) in 2009. Since then, it has been sharing more than 40 million matching data with over 80 bone marrow banks and more than 50 cord blood banks worldwide online. In 2010, it became a member of the World Marrow Donor Association and participated in formulating international standards.

At present, the Sunshine Bone Marrow Bank has more than 2,900 matching data in its database, and 10 hematopoietic stem cell donors have completed unrelated hematopoietic stem cell donations. Since its establishment, the Sunshine Bone Marrow Bank has been providing free services to patients across the country.
