Affected by the combined influence of warm and cold air masses, many parts of China have been experiencing continuous heavy rainfall since July. Intense rainfall has occurred in regions such as Guangdong – Guangxi, Hunan – Hubei, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, southern Anhui, Guizhou, Fujian, and Heilongjiang, causing floods and geological disasters.

On July 9, the disaster relief project team of Sunshine Charity rushed to Huarong County. In collaboration with the Alibaba Public Welfare Platform and the Alipay Public Welfare Platform, they distributed over 3,700 units of daily necessities including toilet paper, laundry detergent, bathing products, sanitary napkins, mosquito repellents, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and towels at the relief sites in Huarong County, benefiting more than 500 displaced villagers at the Huayiminghui Middle School relief site.

According to feedback from colleagues in the disaster relief project team in Huarong County, the overall environment, accommodation conditions, and supply guarantees at the middle – school relief site are quite good. Many caring institutions and individuals have come to provide assistance, and there are also volunteers checking on the situation of the disaster victims.

As of now, the summary of Sunshine Charity’s flood – relief operations across the country is as follows:

On June 29, the foundation donated 408 sets of grain and edible oil to Bama County, Hechi City, Guangxi, benefiting 11 disaster – affected villages.
On July 1, the foundation’s disaster relief staff arrived in Pingjiang County and donated 5,040 bottles of mineral water and 5,000 bags of bread.
On July 5, the foundation purchased 600 bags of rice, 870 candles, and 20 lighters and donated them to the Wukou Town government, benefiting 7 villages and 1 community.
